At Casa Chapolin we are aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development, which is why we are committed to carrying out our activities through the adoption of commitments aimed at preventing, eliminating and/or reducing the negative environmental, social, cultural and economic impacts of our internal and external actions, and potentiating the positive impacts we are generating.

Among our objectives is to motivate and train our employees with awareness actions and training related to the principles of sustainable tourism, promote good environmental practices in the environment being efficient in the use of resources, implement sowing systems that allow self-sufficiency, assume the commitments of continuous improvement in all areas aimed at personal development and improvement of the quality of life of our employees, and report both internally and externally the progress and actions around sustainable management.

We are aware of the importance of developing teamwork that continuously improves our processes to provide a warm, efficient and personalized service that is to the satisfaction of our customers.

This sustainable tourism policy will be updated whenever circumstances require, adopting and publishing in both cases new sustainability objectives.

Below we share our commitment to the maintenance and improvement of positive environmental, socio-cultural and economic impacts. And the management, minimization or elimination of those negative impacts:

1- Energy saving program through LED lights and renewable energy use systems in the hotel. Internal and external communication campaigns for the proper use and saving of energy sources.

2- Signage Project for the location of clients, guests and suppliers in the space.

3. Atmospheric, auditory and visual decontamination (AVA) programme. Internal and external awareness-raising campaign to strengthen added values (e.g. tranquillity).

4. Sustainable procurement policy; products with water-, land-, air- and water-friendly components

5. Program for hotel purchases to be in reusable and/or recyclable packaging.

6. Cultural heritage program, which disseminates the importance of the SNSM, the culture of our country and the immediate environment through information at the reception, internal and external media.

7. Train collaborators to provide information about attractions and places related to cultural heritage - train to prevent discriminatory practices towards vulnerable populations.

8. Support companies, communities and organizations that highlight the cultural characteristics of the destination.

9. Programme for the prevention of the abuse of children and adolescents, including training for collaborators on the applicable legislation in force relating to ESCNNA.  UNESCO/Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism in Colombia. Information for guests.

Give priority under fair and equitable conditions to the hiring of companies and / or people who serve us and / or sell products to be based locally or nationally.

11.train employees to strengthen their job skills according to functions and interests and commitment to sustainability

12. Promote the purchase of goods, services, crafts and/or products manufactured by locally based individuals or businesses (e.g., stand with local crafts and products).

13. Give priority to suppliers who include sustainable development considerations in their products and/or services.
