It all started…

Many years ago, when Palomino was still a well-kept secret and Airbnb options were few and far between, an extraordinary family took an extraordinary leap. They packed their bags in Austria and Switzerland, child in tow, and made Colombia their new home — bringing with them the very first surfboards Palomino had ever seen. They didn't just immerse themselves in Colombia's breathtaking nature, culture and society; they built the boutique guesthouse Casa Chapolin, complete with its own open-air Yoga Shala. It was meant to be more than a home for their own family — it was meant to become a home for countless guests to come. Casa Chapolin is the perfect haven for nature enthusiasts who prefer slow, sustainable travel over quick thrills. It's for those who like to linger for more than just a couple of nights — including guests booking a Long Stay of a month or more — savoring their time in the magical blend of mountains, jungle, and sea.
